“As much as there are difficulties and challenges in working in civil society, but it is an interesting job for me, because it is the field that I have always loved and sought to develop myself in, and I was able to discover myself and acquire skills in management, teamwork, writing reports and other skills that I benefited from in my life.
I am currently working on the (Eye on Elections) project at H2O to monitor municipal council elections, and unfortunately, the turnout was weak compared to previous years, perhaps due to the general health situation, the Corona pandemic, or due to the citizen’s distrust of the results of the election.
The importance of participating in the elections is that when we do not choose the most worthy candidate, we will allow others to choose the incompetent one, and then we cannot demand change or improve the situation.
We must be aware that change does not bear fruit overnight. The result of change appears after years of hard work, like what happened in many developed countries that were built after several revolutions”.
